The DePalma Roy Scholarship Fund $1500
 

Scholarship Requirements:

preference will be given to those pursuing a focus in jazz. The recipients must:

1. Be from Hartford county (Avon, Berlin, Bloomfield, Bristol, Burlington, Canton, East Granby, East Hartford, East Windsor, Enfield, Farmington, Glastonbury, Granby, Hartford, Hartland, Manchester, Marlborough, New Britain, Newington, Plainville, Rocky Hill, Simsbury, South Windsor, Southington, Suffield, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor, Windsor Locks)

2. Major in instrumental music including: music performance, music education, music theory, music therapy

3. Complete the Scholarship Application Form

4. Submit a recent audition video recording uploaded to YouTube

5. Write or record yourself talking about how someone like Donald DePalma influenced your decision to pursue a degree in music

*Grants subject to availability of funding. Preference given for original material per copywriter agreement. 
 

Our first scholarship recipient  for 2022 was West Hartford native Mike Baril who graduated from UConn. 

Last years 2023 recipient was Tristan Davis who just graduated from Windsor High School my alma-mater and is attending Hampton University pursuing a degree in music education. Our 2024 recipient was Nicholas Davis, a recent graduate of Conard High School, who is pursuing a degree in Jazz Performance from Western Connecticut State University.
